Healing the diseases of the human heart

Our world today is on the verge of destruction. Everywhere you look you find that mankind has gotten to the point where selfishness reigns. Wars rage, strife everywhere abounds, the evils of humanity are seen in every nation, none are exempt. How to obtain money at all costs is on the minds of millions. Selfishness has deepened to the point that few care for each other. Will it ever end? Who knows the cure for the selfish human heart? Only Allah knows. Only He has the solution for the disease of sin in the human heart. The reason that mankind is in the condition it is, is because of the evil or sin which man has allowed to take deep root in our hearts (minds). Our natural thoughts are so foreign to Allah that even He must feel ashamed of mankind as He views what is taking place on this planet. This earth with its teeming billions of souls are on this massive ball which is hurling through space at such tremendous speeds, it is only Allah who through His mercy and compassion is keeping it all together and in motion. Yet most of mankind is unmindful that it is Allah who is sustaining and maintaining it all. While men daily eat from the bounties of Heaven, yet how few consider and appreciate all which Allah has done?

How few realize that this world is fast drawing to a close and that life on planet earth as we know it will soon end. Our probationary time is so soon to close, yet few understand what Allah is about to do. The Last Day is soon to be upon us. “Those who believe (in the Qur’an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” Sura 2:62 Al-Baqara.

A prophet of old times from the Holy Books spoke for our day…(Taurat) Zephaniah 1:14 “The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.”

Meanwhile, Allah is giving us precious probationary time to understand what He is seeking to do to the human heart. It is Allah’s will that the human heart be cleansed from the wickedness of the disease called sin. This disease has entered every heart, yet who knows the cure, who has gone to Allah for cleansing? Who understands what Allah wants to do. The Honored Qur’an mentions sin well over 60 times. Yet how do I deal with this disease? There is but One Hope…

Seeking the Physician, Allah’s Plan

There is healing for the disease which is called sin in the human heart. Some would not know what we mean by sin! So what is the definition for it? Quite simply, sin is being out of harmony with Heaven. It is transgressing or violating Allah’s Holy and just Laws, the Ten Commandments. Sin brings guilt and shame to us. Sin also comes with a penalty…eternal death. Sin can also be forgiven… “Who forgiveth sin, accepteth repentance, is strict in punishment, and hath a long reach (in all things). there is no god but He: to Him is the final goal.” Sura 40:3 Al-Ghafir.

God is the Great Physician who alone can cure the disease of sin.

Allah has a plan and it is effective. Millions have sought His help and have found relief from the pain and sorrow of sin. Allah is all-powerful, He is not caught short in knowing how to deal with the sin problem in the human heart. Ever since the days of our first parents Adam and his wife Eve, after they partook of the forbidden tree with it’s fruit and became the first sinners. Now mankind has needed the cure which only Allah can provide. All through the ages, men and women have sought Allah and have found peace in their hearts as well as relief in their lives over the problem of sin. Whether the problem was stealing, lying, cheating, hatred, strife, adultery, murder, slander or bowing to idols, evil thoughts, the list goes on and on. These and many more is what makes up sin which is the disease of the human heart.

Try as men would like to …yet the defiled human heart has found no cure apart from Allah. He alone has the cure. You too can find that cure. It clearly states, with Him is forgiveness. Al-Ghafir 3. We need not wait any longer

A known cure

Let us just suppose that you felt sick one day. And the illness continued until your wife encouraged
you to see a physician. So you finally muster up the courage to see the physician. You arrive at the clean and bright office and wait in turn until you are called. The physician asks many questions and does extensive testing. Finally he tells you… “You are sick” but unfortunately I do not have a cure for your sickness. He continues to tell you that you must search out another physician who can perhaps find a cure for you. Most certainly you would not think very highly of that physician for you are sick yet he could not give you a cure for your illness. It is now even more depressing as now you know that you are indeed sick, yet you do not have a cure.

In much the same way Allah has pointed out our problem of the human heart, it is diseased. What kind of Physician would Allah be if He only told us of the disease but had no cure? Yet this is not the case with Allah. He is all knowing and has a solution for you dear friend.

Allah’s plan is not only forgiveness from sin, but cleansing from it! But how?

Dear reader do you have sorrow for something which you know was wrong? There is forgiveness with Allah. He welcomes repentance. Repentance is simply having an inward sorrow for sin which leads one to want to cease continuing in sin. “But those who do wrong but repent thereafter and (truly) believe,- verily thy Lord is thereafter Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” Sura 7:153 Al-Araf

We must go to Allah in prayer du’a, and confess that we have sinned, and in sorrow of heart we repent of the deed in our hearts. We are promised that Allah will forgive. But how can Allah forgive our sins? Who bears the penalty for our sin? Someone always has to pay!

Just suppose a man has committed a crime against his neighbor. He may have stolen a goat from
his herd when he was not watching, but someone else saw the man commit the act. The neighbor confronts the man and says why did you steal my goat? The man now in sorrow says please forgive me, but I have eaten it already. I cannot repay. The owner of the stolen goat now can do one of several things. He can go to the police and then the police will make the thief pay the price for the stolen goat or the owner can say…”I forgive you this crime” “I will suffer the cost”.

Sin always has a cost, someone must always pay. In this case either the thief can pay for his crime or the owner can say I will bear this cost myself and endure the loss. But sin always has a cost and the price is high. In order for Allah to forgive sin, He then must pay the price for our sin. The price for sin is very high…it is death, eternal death! Injeel Romans 6:23 “For the wages [price] of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord!”

It was through Isa al-Masih that Allah was able to forgive our sins. He became the Great Sin Bearer for us! It is now through Isa that Allah will forgive our sin and also to write the law of love upon our human hearts. It is up to us to receive Isa as our personal Saviour from sin and it’s result, death!

Remember someone has to pay for your sin. Allah’s Justice cannot overlook the crime of sin no more than a judge of earthly courts can overlook a crime here. Justice demands a penalty. Isa paid that penalty for all the world, but how few accept this payment for sin. Today dear reader Isa invites you to receive Him and His payment for your sin. But what is to keep us from continuing in sin? What will make us stop or can we? Is there a remedy that we cease from sin? Can the human heart actually change?

It takes a miracle

What was written with the finger of Allah upon tables of stone, is to be written upon human hearts so that we now seek to obey Allah. It was no less than a miracle years ago when Musa went to the towering heights of Sinai, to receive tables of stone upon which Allah wrote the sacred Law of Allah with His own finger upon stone. It is no less a miracle today for Him to write upon the fleshly tables of the human heart His sacred Law. This requires unquestioning submission, this requires an acknowledgement from the human being to allow Allah to do just that. Unless we give our complete consent, He cannot do this. We will still continue our lives as before and continue to violate that Sacred and Holy Law the Ten Commandments given to Musa on Sinai. Thus the question is before each of us, will I allow Allah to change my heart, my mind to obedience to Him and His Law? It is again through Isa al-Masih that this miracle happens. When we allow Him to perform this miracle then it produces the peace and joy of heaven.

Allow Allah to have your heart today!
